Director of Busines DevelopmentJob Description: The Director of Business Development position plays a critical role in IP Fabrics’ business success and is a significant focal point for customer and partner interaction in the new markets targeted by the company. The Director works closely with the factory engineering team, VP Engineering, CTO, and CEO to identify and determine go-to-market strategy, qualify business/partnering opportunities, and to define solutions for prospective customers. In the early stages of the business development, the Director also works in a sales capacity, working to identify and close the initial deals. This is a new position created to penetrate the internet lawful interception/broadband CALEA market segment for IP Fabrics DeepSweep ™ Network Surveillance System products. The DeepSweep system has recently been introduced to the market and the interest from the lawful interception/CALEA market segment has been such that a new position to focus on this is warranted. While the primary role of the Director of Business Development is to create to go-to-market strategy and identify and close early deals for the new business, it will be essential to develop a solid technical understanding of the product in order to adequately represent our value proposition to customers. The position reports directly to the VP Sales and Marketing. The Director of Business Development will be called upon to help support other geographies (Europe, Asia) until such time as IP Fabrics hires personnel to cover these areas.
